World Peace
World peace is a quest that man has sought after for many centuries. Yet with the many difference among us it has been impossible to fulfill the desire for it. Through the turmoil of war and misunderstanding we find that world peace still eludes us. Yet those that do help to lead all of us still believe it can be achieved. They do all they can to encourage people to reach out for it and to embrace it.
There are many experts that feel world peace is a theory that will never be achieved. They don’t find it believable that there will be enough changes in our society for people to be able to live life this way. There are too many differences among us in order to get everyone to conform to the same open ideas. Unless we can rid the world of hate, crimes, prejudice, and different types of religion there won’t be a way for it to occur.
Even so, efforts by various organizations to pursue world peace continue. They have been able to make some very large movements forward in order to help get people get along better than in the past. Those achievements are often overlooked and they can be slow to come by. Yet they do profoundly affect the overall benefits to society as a whole whether we understand that or not.
There are many different theories out there by the experts that pertain to world peace. Many of them are political in nature. For example President Bush has long said that democracy is the key to achieving world peace. Yet many feel his stand with the war in Iraq goes against that very concept.
There are also those that find that capitalism is the way to achieve world peace. There is plenty of research to show that in harsh economic times it is harder to keep people happy then when the economy is strong. You also have those that believe the various religions out there are what will help to make world peace possible.
The desire for world peace is still there even though it can be hard to identify. The problem is that there is so much tied up in different political and religious sectors. Too many of these entities are committed to pursuing their own interests rather than attempting to embrace those of others. Until those lines are crossed though we won’t be able to have worldwide happiness.
